Joanna Lentini is a writer, photographer, explorer, and conservationist. A life-long ocean and photography enthusiast, she has had a camera in her hand since her very first dive on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Whether it is about environmental, social, or humanitarian issues, Joanna seeks to use her imagery to help impact positive change.

Joanna has contributed photos and published articles for various print and on-line publications including Sport Diver, Ocean Geographic, Underwater Photography Magazine, DiveAdvisor, ScubaDiver, AustralAsia, and Beached Magazine. During surface intervals at home in the greater New York City area, Joanna satisfies her “waterlust” by creating child portraits in local pools to help initiate the next generation with the underwater world. Most recently, Joanna has joined the Sedna Epic Expedition team of all women divers with a mission to be the first group to snorkel the Northwest Passage in 2017-2018.

Joanna holds a bachelors degree in Entrepreneurial Studies from Rider University, and is a student of the New York Institute of Photography. Joanna is a PADI Master Scuba Diver, a certified Aquanaut, and a member of Canon Professional Services and Ocean Artists Society. www.deepfocusimages.com
